Nathan was the type of person that everyone aspired to be like, in sports and in life. In sports he was the hardest working guy on the field/court. He was always there to talk you up when you were down and would out work anyone. He never believed in excuses and wouldn’t let you use any.
In life he was as genuine as they come. He always led by example all the while sticking with his faith. You could always count on getting 100% from Nathan everyday.
My relationship with the Nathan Project; and more importantly with Ron, Connie and the entire Stiles family started when I was acting chaplain at the Johnson County Juvenile Detention Center and the Adolescent Center for Treatment in Olathe, Ks. This relationship allowed us to not only provide bibles at these facilities, but Ron and Connie also came to the facility and shared Nathan's story, and Ron became an integral part of both services & bible study.
Nathan’s story and his family's testimony, a testimony of faithfulness through the journey of pain and loss to the healing that loving others in Christ brings - their faithfulness to God and His faithfulness to them, continues to impact lives for the Kingdom.
Ron and Connie took a very tough situation and used it to change people's lives. I had the privilege of being able to interview several individuals that have been impacted by Nathan and the Nathan Project. One reformed prisoner, Jose Vega, whose life was changed after receiving a Nathan Bible in his jail cell said it best, "It is like a giant spider web where all these people are connected together by Nathan Stiles and the Nathan Project. Because of Nathan and the way he lived his life we all are seeking the same goal." Donnie Prince brings that spider web to life. Donnie's passion and love for Christ makes this a great read!

After Nathan's death his family began a ministry, The Nathan Project. Their mission is to purchase Bibles and literally give away God's Word to people, because that was Nathan's dream, to lead his friends to Christ.
Since 2010 the Nathan Project has gifted away over 31,000 NLT Study Bibles. Those Bibles have become seeds of hope, changing lives and saving souls for God's kingdom.

About the author
I learned of Nathan’s story from an ESPN Outside The Lines documentary in the fall of 2010. Nathan’s story and the faithfulness of his family after Nathan’s death was the most touching and inspiring faith story I had ever seen. I am honored to help them share their story.
